NOTE: Always add a cup or two of water to the pot before putting your egg bites mold in the Instant Pot. Always Spray your mold with a NON-Stick cooking spray, butter, coconut oil, olive oil, just to name a few. Whatever food taste-wise goes better with what you are preparing is the spray you can use.
Cooked in 16 Minutes
Set egg bite mold on trivet/steamer rack and lower in the pot. For these meatloaf bites, I cooked for 16 minutes, and let them naturally release. I let them cool a bit before flipping them over. Top with sauce, cheese, bacon bits, or whatever you desire. They are so simple!
Tips For The Starbucks Copycat Egg Bites
Follow these tips to make the best bacon egg bites that taste like sous vide egg bites but are cooked in an Instant Pot.
Use a silicone mold for egg bites. These cook up the eggs perfectly and make them easy to remove once cooked.
Blend your egg mixture. Whisking eggs and cheese by hand is tempting but blending in a blender or food processor creates a very fluffy egg bite thats spongy and moist.
Do not add too many fillings. Too many add-ins will make the egg bites fall apart.
Cover with a silicone lid or foil. Plastic lids will melt. Covering prevents the condensation drips from falling into the eggs.
Allow natural release time. 5-10 minutes of natural release time will help the eggs complete cooking.

Covering Egg Bites Before Cooking
For cute and un-soggy egg bites, cover the mold with a parchment round or aluminum foil before cooking so condensation on the lid doesn’t drip down on the egg mixture. If your egg molds came with a plastic lid, they are for storage and cant be used for cooking. If the egg mold lid is silicone, you should be able to use it when cooking, but check the manufacturer’s instructions first.
Where Can I Get Silicone Egg Bite Mold
To make egg bites in Instant Pot you have to have a silicone mold. Actually two with two lids. Sorry but I tried my way around it for over a year and finally buckled up and spent some money haha.
I got this one on Amazon. What I like is that it has 2 lids and not 1 to prevent spilling. And lid is also silicone, so Im not cooking plastic.
- Pressure cook on Low: Then close the lid, move valve to Sealing and Pressure Cook on Low for 8 minutes 8 quart Instant Pot, 11 minutes 6 quart Instant Pot. And then we release pressure using Quick Release.

- Make egg mixture: In a large measuring cup whisk eggs, water, baking powder, salt and pepper. You can use any large vessel with a spout for easy pouring into the molds. Then pour egg mixture into each mold about 2/3 full.
- Add toppings: Now you can add toppings like veggies, meat and cheese. No need to stir them as they will sink anyways. Thats why we do not mix toppings with egg mixture. These mini egg muffins are so easy!
- Stack molds: Close each silicone mold with a lid, stack staggered on top of each other and place on trivet with handles. The one pictured came with my stackable stainless steel pans to cook 2 things at a time. I also have this one that came with my Instant Pot DUO 8 quart.

Egg Bites Recipe In Instant Pot Or Air Fryer
Low carb egg bites is a quick and easy healthy breakfast recipe similar to Starbucks sous vide egg bites. These vegetarian egg bites are perfect for protein-packed breakfast or lunch!
This recipe lists how to make velvety soft , spongy and fluffy egg bites in air fryer and Instant pot. I am also listing several substations to make this wholesome and budget friendly egg recipe.
Roasted Red Pepper Egg Bites
While the Starbucks version of these bites uses egg whites, I continually had problems with just egg whites every single time I made the egg white and roasted red pepper bites. There just isnt enough fat in plain egg whites to prevent everything from sticking nor to make that perfectly smooth mouthfeel.
I tried adding olive oil, a mixture of whole eggs and egg whites, and even coconut oil. Nothing worked as well as whole eggs.
Honestly, I doubt youll notice the difference. The flavor all comes from the roasted red pepper, green onion, and touch of hot sauce for a teeny bit of spice .
You can find roasted red peppers jarred in the condiment section of your grocery store.

How Long To Cook Egg Bites In The Instant Pot
- Setting the Instant Pot to cook on high pressure for 10 minutes resulted in egg bites that were perfectly cooked.
Note: It will take about 5 minutes for the pressure to build, and then the countdown timer will begin.
After the time is up, I let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes before removing the egg bites from the Instant Pot. So, youre looking at just under a half hour from start to finish for this recipe.
The best part about these Instant Pot Sous Vide Egg Bites is that theyre totally customizable.

Tips For Making Copycat Starbucks Egg Bites
The silicone mold is key to getting the authentic look of the Starbucks egg bites, but you could cook the egg mixture in another small ramekin or glass jar if you need to.
Make sure to read the notes below my recipe for cooking time suggestions if you use a larger container.
Keep in mind that Starbucks adds quite a bit of cheese, and some starch, to their egg bites to give them a unique texture. I found them to taste more cheese-like than egg-like when I tried the real ones myself , so Ive cut back on that in this recipe to lighten them up.
I also left out the starch because I didnt want to order that from a specialty store. Breakfast shouldnt be that complicated, right? However, if you want to play with adding starch to your egg bites for a texture exactly like Starbucks, go for it!
Instant Pot Egg Bites: 5 Ways
A few weeks ago, I was dropping off my car to be serviced and I thought Id stop in at Starbucks first to grab a Soy Latte and a bite to eat. My normal go-to at Starbucks is their Spinach & Feta Egg White Wrap, but Id been hearing a lot about their sous vide egg bites lately, so I decided to give their Egg White & Red Pepper bites a try.
I was hooked after the first bite. They were warm and creamy, and I couldnt help but think that they must be super healthy too, since theyre basically carb free and packed with protein. But they were expensive too Almost $5 for two tiny bites.

But today, I can honestly say that Ive perfected the recipe for egg bites that are light and fluffy , light on the calories, and perfectly flavorful.

Heres How I Make My Egg Bites In The Instant Pot
Crack six eggs into your blender.
The blender does incorporate a bit of air to the egg whites which helps to keep the eggs fluffy, plus it makes sure everything is super well blended together and youll have a nice, yellow consistency throughout.
Add a handful of shredded cheese about half a cup to the eggs and blend until mixed.
Stir in cooked, chopped bacon.
Hint: If youve made a batch of bacon in your oven and frozen it for later youre a rockstar! Just grab the slices and chopped em!
Add salt & pepper.
Grease your silicone molds with some nonstick cooking spray.
Then, pour about a cup of water into your Instant Pot.
Pour the egg mixture into a silicone egg molds and add the top.
Set the manual pressure for 8 minutes, then let the pressure release naturally. You may see Instant Pot speak calling this NPR.
Release the remaining pressure by turning the valve to vent.
The eggs will puff up slightly after cooking but no worries, theyll settle down after they start to cool slightly.
Remove them from the pan while still warm or they tend to stick.
