We made this Instant Pot Crack Chicken Pasta for lunch two days in a row. It was that GOOD!! I loved that I could cook everything in the Instant Pot. Only one pot to clean! I sautéed the chicken and then dumped everything else in and closed the lid. It takes the Instant Pot a few minutes to come to full steam, but once it is locked the pasta is ready in about 4 minutes. LOVE that!! Cant wait to experiment more with the Instant Pot!
Making It In A Slow Cooker

We swapped the bacon, ranch dressing, and cream cheese for turkey bacon, ranch seasonings, and Greek yogurt. Added in cottage cheese to make it extra creamy, and the flavors are better than the original, I think!

Crack Chicken Noodle Soup
If you wanted to make this more as a soup I would increase the liquid by another cup. Use broth for more flavor. Or cook as is and thin it out at the end so you can taste both versions and see which you like better. Total time is about 20 minutes to prep and cook it all until done to perfection.
Time needed: 10 minutes.
I have not made this meal in the crock pot yet but I am sure you could precook the chicken or use a rotisserie. If youre shredding the chicken off an already cooked bird then you could skip the initial cooking step of that.
If you make it Id love to hear at what temp. you turn the pot to, and how long you cooked it for.
- The noodles wouldnt take long and would need to be added at the very end submerged in liquid. I would think 30 minutes would soften them well.

What Is Crack Chicken
My Crack Chicken recipe is delicious and its named such because ranch seasoning, bacon, and cheddar are a winning combination that so many people love together. Ive come to learn that you either love or hate this cream cheese ranch chicken recipe. For every 10 people that love it, there is one that doesnt and thats okay. If youre suspect to the ingredients, try adding only 4 oz. cream cheese and reducing the ranch seasoning. Then, if youd like, add more cream cheese to the mixture once everything is tossed together. I like to add some hot sauce into the mix because it adds additional flavor without the distinct hot sauce taste.
My favorite way to serve up this cheesy shredded chicken is on a toasted bun or wrapped in lettuce. The Crack Chicken filling is perfect for a sandwich in much the same way Sloppy Joes are, too.
How To Store / Freeze
Store it in an air-tight container or zip-lock bag and you can freeze it for up to 3 months. In the refrigerator, you can store it for 4 days.
When you need to serve it –
- From the freezer – bring it down to the refrigerator and keep it overnight. Then follow the instruction for the ‘Refrigerator’ method.
- Refrigerator – Thaw it outside up to 2 hours. You can heat it in the microwave or over the stove. You can add little stock if it seems dry before heating.
