Instant Pot Meatballs No Sauce

- Prep: Mince fresh onion and garlic with a knife, a box grater, or puree in a small food processor. Add 1/2 cup water to the bottom of the pot and place a trivet or steamer basket inside. This works for any size Instant Pot.
- Shape meatballs: Combine ground meat, grated onion, and garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper and roll into about 30 smaller golf size balls meatballs. Size doesnt matter, within reason.
- Add meatballs as you roll them.;It is OK to stack meatballs and I find dipping hands in a bowl with water helps to roll turkey meatballs.
- Cook on High pressure for 7 minutes. Wait for 2 minutes and release the remaining pressure using the Quick Release method. Open the lid, meatballs are ready and you might have to separate a few meatballs from each other.
How To Steam Frozen Meatballs In The Instant Pot
If youre just cooking the frozen meatballs by themselves, without sauce or pasta or other ingredients, you may choose to simply steam the meatballs.
In this case, you can add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot and place the frozen meatballs on the trivet or in a steamer basket.
Either way, youll want the meatballs to be up out of the water so they arent boiled instead of steamed.
Once you have the frozen meatballs in appropriate position, select a cook time of 5 minutes at high pressure.
Check the meatballs to ensure they are heated all the way through. If not, add 2 more minutes of cook time.

How To Cook Frozen Meatballs In Microwave
My least favourite way to heat up meatballs is in the microwave. The flavour and texture just seem off, and while they come out juicy, they also tend to be a bit rubbery. Microwave heating is super fast, but it is subpar when it comes to actually eating the meatballs after using this method.
Still, its hard to beat a two or three minutes cook time, depending on how many meatballs you heat up at once. You can place them onto a microwave safe plate while still frozen.
Feel free to add seasonings, sauces, and garnishes, but dont bother to cook your onions and garlic or other veggies this way. Those will need to be pan fried if you want them to get cooked, taste great, and still have them ready to eat nearly as soon as the meatballs come out of the microwave.

Pressure Cooker Grape Jelly Meatballs
Heat isnt necessary but I like it even though I am not a spicy food lover.
Here is a quick rundown but there is also a printable recipe card at the bottom of this post.
Time needed:;5 minutes.
Add grape jelly, water, chili sauce and sriracha to your Instant PotWhisk together until smooth and then dump in your frozen meatballs. Mix so sauce is coating all meatballs
Close lid and steam valve. Set to pressure high for 5 minutes. Quick release, Serve! As an appetizer just set some toothpicks next to your pot and youre done.

I cook my frozen meatballs in the Instant Pot for about 15 minutes on high pressure . Then all I have to do is let the pot naturally release another 5 minutes before quick releasing the rest of the pressure.
Frozen meatballs in an Instant Pot cook much faster than in an oven! This method also keeps them moister than an oven, which can dry out frozen meatballs.;
How To Cook Frozen Meatballs In Crockpot
The slow cooker is one of the easiest ways to heat up frozen meatballs. There is almost no work involved, and you dont have to worry about thawing out the meatballs either. You can just place them into the crockpot or slow cooker with your other ingredients and let the cooker do its thing.
You need some sort of sauce or liquid to cook the meatballs in the slow cooker with. You may want to use spaghetti sauce, stroganoff sauce, or barbecue sauce, depending on what you are making.
How long to cook frozen meatballs in crockpot? Its going to take them about 2 ½ hours for them to cook fully from being frozen to fully cooked and ready to eat. Thats at a high setting. If you are okay with waiting longer, you can set the slow cooker or crockpot to low and cook them for about 4 hours.
