White Bean Soup Storage And Reheat Instructions
To store: Store remaining kale soup in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 5 days. I recommend glass meal prep containers because I find the locking lid to maintain freshness better than any plastic containers or zip-top storage bags.
To freeze: First, cool the soup to room temperature before freezing and transfer it into freezer-safe containers or zip-top freezer storage bags. If you use the zip-top bags, lay them flat in the freezer so they take less freezer space. Frozen soups in these bags keep well for about 6 weeks. After that, it will begin to lose flavor and may develop freezer burn.
To reheat:;White Bean and Kale Soup can easily be reheated in on the stove over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, or in a microwave in short intervals on medium-high power. Either way, do not overheat as the vegetables may become mushy.

Once you cut open the bag, youre ready to go. Theres no tedious washing, spinning, or removing ribs.
Toss in the chopped carrots and onions
and saute until softened.
Throw in the garlic and stir until fragrant . Pile in the kale, pour in the chicken broth
and sprinkle on salt and pepper to taste. Make sure you still have at least 1/3 of the head space at the top of the pot or it just might go kablooey.
If youre using a stovetop pressure cooker, increase the heat to high, lock the lid in place, and wait until the cooker reaches high pressure. Once high pressure is achieved, decrease the heat to low and maintain high pressure for 5 minutes. At the end of the cooking time, take the pot off the heat.
You can let the pressure drop naturally or if youre impatient like me, activate the quick release valve and the steam will hiss right out.
Ladle it up and dig in.
What Is A Pilaf
If youre not familiar with pilaf , you might find it quite similar to dishes like risotto , biryani rice or Mexican rice. This dish is popular in many regions and the recipe usually involves cooking rice or wheat grains in stock or broth together with spices, vegetables, meat and other ingredients. The cooking method allows the rice or another grain to absorb the stock completely, resulting in fluffy, separated grains infused with the flavor of the broth and whatever else you add.
For our recipe, we decided to make a quinoa pilaf and added plenty of leafy kale to extra nutrients. Cooking kale and quinoa in one pot works out perfectly in the Instant Pot. It only takes 1-2 minutes of pressure cooking time, plus a few minutes to pressurize and to release the pressure. Lets break it down.
