What Is Liver Pate
Liver pate is a dish made from liver and onions. It was originally created by the Romans in the first century, but its popularity began to grow during the 1700s when it became a staple dish in French cuisine.
Today, liver pate is often served as an appetiser to wet the appetite for a larger meal or it is used as a spread on breads and crackers.
Liver pate is traditionally made by cooking liver and onions in various ways, such as boiling or frying. I like to cook homemade Pate in the Instant Pot. The cooked ingredients are then mashed together until they form a smooth paste-like consistency.

Why? Because larger size Instant Pot has larger volume for more pressure to build up. Thus, it takes longer to bring pressure down.
Therefore, 8 quart pressure cooker keeps cooking chicken while bringing down pressure for 40 minutes vs. 6 quart that takes only 15 minutes.
For 6 quart Instant Pot:

Should I Add Seasoning To My Chicken
Chicken breasts in the instant pot can be customized to whatever dish you are planning to put them in. Mexican food? Sprinkle with taco seasoning. Italian dish? Add some Italian seasoning or garlic.
For simple, versatile, chicken breast that can be used in meal prep, salad, etc, just add some salt and pepper along with your chicken broth or water. You can also use different juices for your liquid for some added sweetness to the chicken.
Natural Or Quick Release
Use only Natural Release.
Please do not vent pressure by turning valve to Venting and come back and tell me your chicken was raw.:) Your Instant Pot needs to bring down pressure inside on its own.
This will allow chicken to finish cooking while juices in the meat settle. It is like letting a beef roast to rest same idea.
Do not do Quick Release . Just in case.:)

When the cook time ends, allow the pressure to naturally release for 10 minutes. The chicken will continue to cook during this time.
Here are the estimated cook times for different sized pieces of boneless, skinless chicken breasts.
Instant Pot Cooking Times for Frozen Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts

- large frozen chicken breasts cook 16 minutes at high pressure, plus 10 minutes natural release

How Long Can You Keep Pate In The Fridge
The answer to the question How Long Can You Keep Pate in The Fridge? is that it can be stored for up to 1 week after opening. Liver Pate should be kept at a temperature of 40° F or below to stay fresh.
Homemade liver pate that is made from fresh ingredients with no preservatives has a short half-life in comparison to store bought pate and so homemade liver pate can only stay in the fridge for 4-5 days.
Salmon pate however can only stay in the fridge for one day. It has a much shorter shelf life and therefore if you have plenty left over, its good to freeze straight away.
