If your roast isnt 3 pounds, youll want to reduce your cooking time. There isnt an exact science to how much you should reduce itmore time if its much bigger than 3 pounds, less time if its slightly smaller. Id likely take off 6 minutes per pound of meat.

Here are some approximate calculations for pound to time:

  • 4 pounds = 31 minutes
  • 3 pounds = 25 minutes
  • 2 pounds = 19 min

However, if your roast is round and thick youll want to reduce the time less than if your cut of meat is more oblong and flat.

If youre nervous about how much to reduce the time, you can always set the pressure cooker for less time, release the pressure, and check the temperature with an instant-read thermometer;. The pork should be 145°F and then allowed to rest for 3 minutes.

If your roast needs more time, lock the lid back in place and cook it a little bit longer.

Whats The Difference Between Pork Loin And Pork Tenderloin

It can be quite confusing when buying Pork Loin & Pork Tenderloin!

Though Pork loin & Pork tenderloin sound similar, they look quite different because theyre cut from different parts of the pork.

    • Pork Loin : a larger, wide, flat meat from porks back; boneless or bone-in; lean, tender; meatier than pork tenderloin
    • Pork Tenderloin : a long, narrow muscle that runs along the backbone; leanest, most tender cuts; boneless

Even though theyre both lean cuts of pork, but they differ in size, thickness, and shape, theyre not easily interchangeable in recipes & cooking methods.
