How Long To Cook Tortellini In The Instant Pot
The Instant Pot tortellini cook time is actually pretty short, because tortellini is a quick-cooking pasta. The amount of cook time you use is somewhat dictated by your personal preference for pasta firmness.
Since frozen tortellini isnt dried, like boxed pastas are, a 1 minute cook time will yield a cooked pasta that is still slightly firm. If you prefer the pasta to be a little bit softer, a 2 minute cook time is ideal. I usually use the 2 minute cook time.

Well, yes and no. It kind of comes down to preference. Typically properly cooked green beans will have a slight crisp to it, but some people prefer there’s a little softer. I tend to cook them just enough so they still have a slight crisp for this Green Beans With Bacon recipe, but you can adjust to your personal preference.

How To Prevent Air Fryer From Smoking When Cooking Bacon
Some experience their Air Fryer smokes from the bacon grease dripping. If you find this is the issue you can lay a piece of bread to the lower pan to help soak up the grease that drips down.
Also, adding a splash of water to the lower pan is excellent as well, so the grease doesnt burn up and create the smoke you dont want. You can also find special parchment paper that you can buy specifically for your Air Fryer.

Instant Pot Cream Of Bacon Soup
I love playing with new ideas, taking classic dishes and putting my own spin on them.
The time has come for me to introduce bacon to soup in the most unusual of ways. I mean, have you ever heard of a Cream of Bacon Soup before? Yeah, me neither. And so I decided to create one.
Folks, I kid you not when I tell you this will be one of THE most comforting, outrageous and soulful soups you will ever slurp. One taste and, I assure you, it will become a staple at your family gatherings, Thanksgivings, holidays, football games basically anytime theres an excuse to eat soup.
And, oh yeah. The Instant Pot is going to allow us to do this all in ONE pot with NO mess. How often does that happen when you cook bacon? It starts today.
Heres How I Made It!:
Begin with some lovely, glorious thick-cut bacon
and cut/dice it into little pieces.
Then take some sweet onions
and cut em into strands.
And to conclude out prep, heres a few potatoes
that well peel and cut into chunks.
Now go to the Instant Pot, give it heat and add in some butter.
Once it melts
add in that bacon!
Allow it to simmer and cook in the pot for a solid 15 minutes. Allowing it to set and stir every 2-3 minutes or so while giving the bottom a good scrape to ensure no bacon sticks to it. Since were cooking the bacon in butter, it shouldnt stick, but just do it anyway for good measure.
Transfer all the bacon to a paper towel-lined bowl and set aside. The bacon will really crisp up as it cools!

Does It Matter What Kind Of Green Beans Or Potato To Use
Ive found any kind of green bean will work. The best ones are fresh from the garden or the farmers market, but frozen is fine. Just make sure they arent french cut as they will turn to mush in this recipe.
It IS important is the type of potato that is used. Waxy potatoes will hold their shape and absorb the flavor of the broth better than starchy potatoes.

What Youll Need For Instant Pot Bacon
Bacon Your one and only ingredient here is bacon, so I highly recommend making it good quality bacon! I always make sure my bacon is free of added sugar, antibiotics, and is uncured. While I prefer the taste of regular pork bacon, you can use this method to cook turkey bacon as well!
Instant Pot I use a 6-quart Instant Pot, though any size will work. However, depending on the size you might have to work in batches to cook all of your bacon. To prepare your Instant Pot for cooking bacon, start by plugging it in and then hitting the Sauté button. Next, adjust the time using the + and – symbols to set it to 5 minutes. Once the screen reads 5 minutes, wait for the pot to beep to tell you its starting to heat up and then get cooking!

How Long Do I Cook Bacon In The Instant Pot
In general I like my bacon less crispy and cooked. I tend to get the perfect bacon in just 2-3 minutes per side.
The time to cook bacon will also depend on two things:
- the thickness of the bacon pieces.
- the fat in the bacon.
If youre using a thicker cut of bacon, you may want to add an additional minute or two to get the level of crispness you prefer.
If the bacon youre using has a lot of fat, it will tend to cook faster and crumble easily. For this type of bacon you may want to keep the minimal amount of cook time.
Cook times will also vary when it comes to how done and crispy you would like your cooked bacon to be. For more a more crispier style bacon, add on some additional time in 1 minute intervals.
You can even add a little flavor by adding a dash of black pepper during the cooking process.
Just remember the thinner the bacon and the longer you cook it will cause the bacon to crumble into the perfect bacon bits versus stay in halved pieces.
To clean the pot when youre finished, add a cup of water or chicken broth and use a wooden spoon to remove the stuck pieces on the bottom before washing. It makes cleaning up easier.
