How To Boil Eggs In Instant Pot
Why Use An Ice Bath
The ice bath will cool the eggs immediately so they wont keep cooking in the residual heat. Plus, the eggs will be shocked, which makes them very easy to peel.
What if you dont have ice? No problem at all! Simply run the eggs under cold tap water for 1 to 2 minutes, until they are cooled enough to peel. The eggs might be slightly easier to peel using the ice bath method, but the tap water method is a lazy one that I use all the time.
An ice bath is exactly as it sounds. Its a bowl of cold water that also contains a good amount of ice. Its used in cooking to help stop the cooking process for items such as boiled eggs. It allows foods to come down in temperature quickly and safely.
Why Use An Instant Pot
If you want a fool-proof way to make hard boiled eggs, the Instant Pot is the answer. Cooking the eggs is as easy as pressing a button! The process is not only quicker than using the stovetop, but it also produces more consistent results. Once you start cooking hard boiled eggs in your pressure cooker, youll never make them any other way!

Can You Freeze Boiled Eggs
Whether it is hard boiled eggs or soft boiled eggs, you may store the boiled eggs in freezer in freezer safe bags or containers. This is especially hepful & necessary if you have made a large batch of boiled eggs.
However, the whites of the eggs may not freeze really well since the texture of the whites can turn more hard and rubbery once it is frozen.
You may separate the whites and yolks and just freeze the egg yolks, in freezer safe containers so you may use the egg yolks for more longer time .

Boiled eggs on stove top can be done perfectly using a pot or pan.
Thats what I always did before I started making boiled eggs in the instant pot and they always turned out perfect too.
However, boiling eggs in the instant pot pressure cooker is much easier than boiling the eggs on stove top using a pot or pan.
While boiling eggs in a pan on stove top requires placing the eggs in a pan with water enough to immerse the eggs, the instant pot requires only minimal amount of water to cook the eggs and the eggs need not be completely immersed in water.
Instant pot method is much faster, doesnt need monitoring and the eggs are perfect and delicious!
You can decide the texture or consistency of the eggs by adjusting the timer so easily.
The whole process takes quite a few minutes only, which is much faster than stove top method!
