What Are The Best Instant Pot Deals
In my experience, Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals have been the best, especially on Amazon and big box stores such as Costco, Target, Walmart and Kohl’s.
Amazon Prime Day is also a day to keep in mind when shopping for an Instant Pot or any kitchen appliance. Some models are discounted to super low prices.
My recommendation – if you are not in a rush to buy an Instant Pot right now, it’s always a good idea to wait for a long weekend or any holiday sales! This is when retailers reduce many of their prices.

Instant Pot Cooking Time Guides
Also, those time sheets/magnets/charts with cooktimes- ehh. I dont think they are a good resource since every chart Ive seen online doesnt seem accurate to me. Unless it guide comes from a blogger or recipe creator you absolutely trust, I wouldnt spend money on it.
Personally, I would stick with tried and true recipe and methods with researched recipes
Just my two cents!
So what do you think? Do you have some of these accessories? What would you add to the list?

Is It Really Crucial To Proceed With The First Test Run Whilst Utilizing An Instantaneous Pot
It is crucial since the first test run known as the water test assists in getting familiarised with cooking criteria. Its not always taking endeavor. Instead, it requires just 5 or 3 cups of water and a couple of minutes. In this manner, you may be certain that functioning is flexible. It is also possible to observe that its a great sealing ring that will get the job done properly.
Air Fryer Vs Instant Pot: Which Is Healthier
It all depends on what youre cooking and the ingredients you put inside of them.
Say youre cooking a cheesy bacon casserole in the Instant Pot and chicken or chickpeas in the air fryer, says Maguire. Then the air fryer would win this challenge. On the other hand, if the bacon is going in the air fryer and youre making a veggie soup in the Instant Pot, then the healthy meter goes in the other direction.

Are Electric Multicookers Safe
For the most part, today’s electric pressure cookers are safe. However, you still need to be careful.;
Many people are afraid to use electric pressure cookers because they have heard stories of them exploding on the stove. That was a problem with the old stovetop models, but there are several safety mechanisms that minimize the chance of this happening with modern electric cookers.
“I was never concerned about a multicooker exploding on the countertops,” said chef and chocolatier Anne Wolf.;
Jeffrey Eisner, author of The Step-by-Step Instant Pot Cookbook agreed. “If you’re going to compare pressure cookers from back in the day when they were on stovetops to today’s that are electric and have locking, a big difference is today’s lids will stay securely on top,” said Eisner. “I feel comfortable using them, and I’ve never been afraid. I’ve never had any issues personally.”
However, today’s electric pressure cookers are not without their risks. “I did find that it’s easy to burn yourself on the steam when you’re doing a quick release,” said Wolf. “So, there’s some burn risk.”
The best way to minimize the burn risk when releasing the pressure is to use a wood spoon or other long utensil to engage the lever that opens the vent. The steam always comes from the top so make sure you are not standing over the cooker when releasing the steam.
How Instant Pots Save You Money
One thing we liked about instant pots is that its easy to determine a products capabilities simply from the price tag. You see, the more an instant pots price goes up, the more features and functions it has, so whenever youre shopping for one, youll never be overpaying for features you may never end up using.
While on the topic of price tags, we understand the importance of saving money with every chance you get, and thats why its important to highlight how an instant pot can actually end up saving you money, despite the fact that you do have to spend quite a few dollars in order to buy one.
One way a lot of users manage to spend a lot of money is by either ordering takeout or going to a local restaurant to get breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and at the end of the month, youll realize that quite a lot of money was spent just so you can eat.
The thing is that there are many simple recipes that a user can follow, but most will say that they lack the time necessary to cook. However, this only applies when youre talking about having to wait for 2 hours so your turkey can bake in the old fashion way.
This all changes, if you get an instant pot, since foods that would take hours to be done, will be ready in 20 to 30 minutes, allowing you to prepare food just the way you like it, in a much healthier manner, and with less cash spent.

Final Thoughts On The Air Fryer Lid
If you cant already tell, Im not a huge fan of the air fryer lid on top of the pressure cooker. A lot of people hear about it and get super excited because they think theyll get the best of both worlds. In reality, youre probably getting a little less of both worlds and you may be unhappy with your purchase.
I use my air fryer probably more than my Instant Pot.
You read that right- I use it multiple times a day, for almost everything that needs to be reheated. In some ways, it has replaced my microwave because I get a much better result when reheating my food.

Which Size Instant Pot Is Best For You
Ok, this part is not as cut-and-dry as the model choices. You’ll have to follow some gut instincts.
I went around and around for many months before buying my second Instant Pot, simply because I didn’t know whether to get another 6-quart or to get a larger 8-quart.
Let’s talk through it.
First of all, keep in mind that as with any pot that’s advertised as holding a certain volume, you cannot use all of it. Advertised 6-quart volume means up to the top of the pot.
Which of us ever fills a pot to the top? No one at least not if we don’t want a mess!
You need room for expansion, boiling, stirring, putting your foods up on a rack, etc.
Once I bought a stainless steel pot for making cheese and I made a mistake. I wanted to make cheese with 3 gallons of milk, so that’s the size of pot I bought.
Then it arrived and I realized my error. I couldn’t use the entire 3-gallon capacity; I could use only 2-1/2 to 2-3/4 gallons or so. Oops.
I sent it back and got the 4-gallon stainless steel pot. And now I use it to about the 3-1/2 gallon capacity.
See what I mean? Your pot needs more capacity than you’ll use.
Same thing with the Instant Pot. If you’re pressure cooking in the Instant Pot,;you cannot overfill it or you’ll have a problem. The max fill line is a little more than 3/4 full.
when you’re choosing your Instant Pot, choose a higher;volume capacity than you think you need. You probably won’t regret bigger , but you certainly will regret too small.
What Are The Best Instant Pot Accessories
The best Instant Pot accessories are items that will make your pot perform better and help your recipes come out tastier. But you also want additions that make cooking easier. Overall, when it comes to top-rated accessories, a good steamer basket is extremely important. While the Instant Pot comes with a trivet or steaming rack, its a good idea to get a larger and better one. For many recipes like steamed veggies, most chicken recipes, eggs, and potatoes you dont want your ingredients touching the water at the bottom. A larger steam basket allows you to expand your instant cooking repertoire without sacrificing the flavor of the food .
A glass lid is another smart accessory for your pot. Standard lids obscure your view of the food thats cooking. With a glass lid, when you slow cook or sauté, you can see inside of the pot without uncovering your food .
Baking accessories are another must for your Instant Pot, especially if you enjoy sweets. For example, a good springform pan or cupcake liners that fit into your pot make cooking and cleanup simpler. With the right baking accessories, you can easily follow recipes for cheesecake, brownies, lava cakes, and more.

Which Model Of Instant Pot Should You Buy
Before I go into specifics about each Instant Pot model, let me say that most of the fancy stuff is stuff you probably dont need. For example, you may have noticed that Instant Pot models vary in the number of pre-set program buttons. All of those program buttons are just a combination of a cook time and pressure setting .
So, whether or not your Instant Pot has a poultry or cake button is not important, because you can cook pretty much anything in your Instant Pot using the Pressure Cook function and manually setting the cook time. In fact, most of the recipes that you find are going to tell you to use the Manual/Pressure Cook function, not one of the other program buttons. And pretty much every recipe will be cooked at high pressure.
Choosing An Instant Pot For Your Cooking Needs
When you want a countertop appliance that does more than one thing, choosing an Instant Pot gives you a lot of extra options for how to prepare foods. People also call an Instant Pot an “Instapot” or an “Insta Pot”. The Instant Pot is kind to your budget because it combines several different cooking tools into one device.
These multicookers have integrated software that lets you perform various cooking functions with the touch of a button for a simplified cooking experience. The main functions these cookers perform are slow cooking, sauteing, and pressure cooking. However, there are buttons that break the functions down further to help cooks perform different types of cooking.

Which Air Fryer To Buy
A standalone air fryer is not too expensive, and youll be happier with both your appliances over having one that cant do either thing very well. This is the air fryer I have and its amazing. I made a mistake and bought a smaller one first. Dont do this- start with a 5-6 quart or youll end up buying a bigger one later.
- KEY FEATURE: has the highest pressure PSI among all Instant Pots, matching traditional stovetop pressure cookers.
- Most high-tech looking display with touchscreen.
- Stainless steel exterior body.
- KEY FEATURE: This is also the only model that can safely pressurecan foods.
- Release the sealing knob with a touch of the touchscreen .
What’s The Difference Between Quick Release And Natural Release
Quick release and natural release are the two main ways to release steam from your electric pressure cooker once you’re done cooking. Quick release involves moving the steam release valve to vent to instantly allow the steam to escape. Once the pin near the valve drops, the pressure has been released, and it’s safe to remove the lid.
With natural release, you don’t release the steam immediately. Instead, you allow the pressure to decrease on its own. Again, you can open the lid once the pin drop indicates that the pressure is at a safe level. Many recipes call for a 10-minute natural release followed by a quick release. In general, we recommend following the recipe you’re using for best results, though, as you get more experienced with the quirks of your cooker, you may want to make slight adjustments.
There’s a third, less-common release method known as a pulse or controlled release. This involves releasing the pressure in short bursts by opening and closing the vent.
However you choose to release the steam, be careful! We recommend using a nice long wooden spoon to trigger the release mechanism so you’re far from the steam when it’s released. Also, never stand over the multicooker when releasing the steam. Releasing the steam is probably the most dangerous part of using an electric pressure cooker.
