If Im going to put time and effort into cooking a meal, I sure dont want to settle for something mediocre. Still yet, when it comes to pork chops, I often find myself disappointed.

Baking and pan-searing can lead to a final product that might be too dry or too chewy or unevenly cooked. I dont want to gamble with my hard-earned money on a meal that might not be that great.

The Instant Pot seems to have helped solve some of those issues that come with cooking pork and I had success with other pork recipes like my Instant Pot Country Style Ribs and Instant Pot pork roast.

When my family fell in love with my Instant Pot Pork Chops and Gravy, I decided to try regular boneless pork chops in the Instant Pot.

I tested and retested this recipe to find the best cook time to make pork chops that are tender and perfectly cooked. Most Instant Pot pork chop recipes call for pressure cooking boneless pork chops for 8, 10 or even 15 minutes plus a natural release. You might not have considered making pork chops in the Instant Pot before, but its actually one of the easiest and best ways to cook them. Instead of frying them on the stovetop and making a mess with the splattered grease, put them in the Instant Pot for a no-mess meal.

There are two ways you can make pork chops in the Instant Pot. You can use the sauté mode to give them a bit of a sear before pressure cooking them, or if youre in a hurry, you can skip the sauté step and just pressure cook. You can even cook them from frozen.

Either way, they turn out tender and ready to eat in just 30 minutes. I prefer to sear them first because it adds to the flavor and looks more appealing, but if youre going to be serving them with a sauce, it wont make as much of a difference.
