Is Instant Omni Plus Air Fryer Oven Easy To Use
Every appliance has a learning curve and so does the Instant Omni Plus. But after a couple of use, operating this appliance will be a piece of cake.
The reason is its simple and intuitive touchscreen display. All the cooking programs, plus the time, and temp turn dial is designed thoughtfully for a smooth operation.
Besides, the oven has even heat distribution system, therefore, it takes less time to warm up.

Instant Pot Omni Review
The Omni is slowly rolling out to Walmart and I suspect it will be widespread around the country shortly. Just in time for holiday and Christmas shopping. I found mine by searching stores for the SKU number and placing pickup orders, Several were cancelled because they had already sold out, but then I finally got one!
The Instant Omni is larger than the Vortex and can fit a 12 inch pizza. Of course this also means that it will take more counter space. But for larger families, the larger size is good news as the Vortex does not fit enough food to feed a larger family. The oven is 1800 watts and bakes up to 450 degrees. It gets hot to the touch on the outside just as any toaster oven does, and in fact I found that it got quite hot, but it also does not heat up the whole kitchen, so it doesnt radiate too much heat.
I found that it took longer than expected for the Omni to preheat to 400 degrees. In fact, when I made a ham and cheese sandwich later for lunch, I put it in while it was preheating and the sandwich was almost done by the time the oven reached full temperature.
I later timed the preheat. It took between five and six minutes to get to 400. Another minor complaint is that, unlike the Vortex Plus, which beeps a lot and tells you to add food when the unit is at full temperature, the Instant Omni, just gives one fairly quiet beep.
The toast settings allow you to set the desired level. You can make up to 6 pieces of toast at a time
Instant Pot 6 Quart Vortex 4 In 1 Air Fryer Oven Review: Design
The Instant Pot 6 Quart Vortex 4 in 1 Air Fryer Oven is a big black box, measuring 11.5 x 13 x 12.8 inches, that will require quite a bit of countertop space. However it is not terribly heavy at 12.1 pounds, so its easy to move to a cabinet or closet if you dont plan to keep it on display. It has a handle that protrudes for removing a single cooking basket. The control panel features large buttons that are clearly marked and a dial for controlling the setting, temperature and time. When youre not using it, the control pad blacks out so it doesnt appear obtrusive.

Air fryers work by combining just a little oil with air thats quickly raised to roasting temperatures to produce the crunchy texture youd otherwise need a traditional deep-fat fryer to achieve. By cooking foods so quickly, an air fryer is able to ensure that theyâre crisp on the outside but moist on the inside, using only a fraction of the oil thats required for conventional roasting or frying.
If youre accustomed to cooking such foods in the oven, youll also find the results from an air fryer far more succulent than those cooked in an oven, which can easily dry out food by the time its heated it all the way through.
Note, though, that at around 32cm high and 30cm wide this is a relatively bulky appliance, so if you dont have enough room to keep it on a countertop youll need to store it away when its not in use.

How Do I Preheat The Instant Omni Plus
On indicates that the Omni Plus Toaster Oven is in Preheat mode. Use the Presets dial to select a preset program Press Temp/Time dial to toggle between cook time and temperature, then turn the dial to make adjustments manually. turn Food indicates that the food in the cooking chamber should be turned for even cooking.

Overview Of The Instant Omni And Omni Plus

There are now reports that Instant customer service has verified that there will be both an Instant Omni and Instant Omni Plus. The plus will reportedly have the same dimensions but will add the proof and slow cook features. An Amazon listing of an Omni Plus with a listed availability in several months was up for awhile and then removed. Customer service did tell a person that the Plus would be sold on Amazon. A reader sent me screen shots that she took of listings for the Plus before it was removed and it does indeed appear to have the same dimensions, this is assuming that customer reports of the Omni dimensions are correct.

Where To Buy The Instant Omni And Omni Plus
Right now the Omni is only sold at Walmart. However, I suspect it will eventually roll out to other stores.

Update: My local Walmart was able to look up the Omni in their internal system and tell me that they are getting a couple in October and that another local store has some on order. To have your local store look for you tell them the SKU and UPC codes:

At some point you might also be able to use BrickSeek to find it using the SKU or UPC code, but Walmart needs to get it put in the system for that to work.

Omni Plus And Ninja Foodi Timer And Temperature
Omni Plus and Ninja Foodi are very similar in terms of versatility because you can cook various menus using just one appliance but, besides the menu we can also adjust the timer and temperature when cooking to make sure the ingredient is cooked properly or to give you freedom in tweaking the settings. In Omni Plus, you can adjust the cooking temperature for up to 450 degree Fahrenheit depending on the cooking mode chosen while the timer itself can be preset up to 72 hours only when using the Dehydrate function.
There are Foodi variant that carry the Dehydrate function but not in SP101 so the maximum cooking time in this appliance is 2 hours such as when using air roast function but the other menus can be much lower such as only 30 minutes for air broil and for the temperature range it is adjustable up to 450 degree Fahrenheit as well. How To Clean Instant Indoor Grill And Air Fryer Properly
Cleaning Instant Omni Plus is super easy as all the accessories are dishwasher safe. However, you can easily wash them manually too.
To clean the accessories properly, wipe off any food residue with a paper towel or rinse them under running water. Then wash them with a soft soapy sponge. Rinse thoroughly under running water again and wipe them off with a dry dish towel.
As for the oven interior, take a damp cloth and wipe it off thoroughly. If there is too much food residue you can take a little bit of soap on the damp cloth. Wipe it with a dry dish towel to dry it completely. Repete this same step for the exterior too.
Note:Unplug the appliance before starting the cleaning process.

Do not put baking or parchment or foil paper into the oven without food on top.
Instant Pot 6 Quart Vortex 4 In 1 Air Fryer Oven Review: Ease Of Use And Cleaning
Of all the air fryers we tested, this is one of the most intuitive air fryers to program. The buttons are nicely sized, clearly marked, and quick to respond. To program the temperature and time, you turn and press a dial. The basket has a rack on which the food rests and is easy to pull out and reposition in the air fryer.
During cooking, no spot on the exterior of this air fryer gets hot enough to cause a burn. The highest temperature that we recorded was 126.6°F on the lower-front side of the machine. Both the handle and the controls dont get much warmer than room temperature. We measured a noise level of 66.5dB during heating, which is the loudest of the air fryers we had on test. Its worth mentioning that this is not so noisy that you wont be able to have a conversation over the top of it while its running.
Both the basket and the rack are nonstick and have relatively few crevices, making each easy to wash by hand. This is a good thing as they are not dishwasher safe.
