How To Cook Pork Loin In Instant Pot
If you have a pork LOIN, not a TENDERLOIN ; this recipe still works like a charm with a couple of modifications.
I get a lot of questions on this recipe on whether to use a tenderloin or loin – and what the difference is between tenderloin and loin since they are similar cuts from the pig, and can both be used in this recipe.
The two cuts are from similar areas , and are both leaner and respond to the same cooking methods, but a pork tenderloin is much longer and skinnier than a pork loin.
Loins tend to be much fatter, much heavier, and over 3 lbs while a tenderloin will be longer, skinnier, and around 1-2 pounds.
For this recipe, I am calling for a;Pork Tenderloin; but a loin will also work with the modification for time below.
Please follow the notes below for perfect Instant Pot Pork Loin:
How Long Is Frozen Pork Good For
Wondering how long can you freeze pork? Frozen foods are safe indefinitely. For best quality though, fresh pork roast, steaks, chops or ribs should be used within 4 6 months.
Fresh ground pork, pork liver or variety meats should be used within 3 4 months. Home cooked pork, soups, stews, or casseroles should be cooked within 2 3 months.

How To Store Instant Pot Pork Tenderloin And Potatoes
Refrigerate the pork and the potatoes in an air-tight container for up to 3 days. Be sure to completely reheat the pork up to 145 degrees to kill any latent bacteria.
After cooking, you can freeze the pork by wrapping it in plastic wrap and then putting it into a freezer bag. Make sure to label the bag with what it is, the date, and any thawing or cooking directions you want to add.
You can also freeze the mashed potatoes, however, its not a good idea to freeze the cooked vegetables if you plan to eat them as a side. They tend to get mushy after freezing and thawing.
Pork Loin Temperature Too Low
For medium-rare pork loin, were aiming for 143°F 145°F.
If the temperature is too low, simply flip over the pork loin in Instant Pot, then close the lid. The temperature should rise 8°F 10°F per 15 minutes.
*Note: Do not pressure cook again because were using the Keep Warm mode to slow roast the pork loin.
