I just cooked pot roast for the very first time in my life, I always wanted to do this but was scared I might ruin it. Seared the meat ,took it out cooked onions put the pot roast and added liquid,then added vegetables ,but they came out a little soft but was ok for me , then one hour cooking time, and I couldnt believe it that meat was falling off so TENDER unbelievable!!! I love this Insta pot , cant wait to make more

I heard great things about the instant pot and how it cuts cooking time in half of even more. Out of curiosity, I bought my IP and fell in love! It doesnt take much time to cook a tasty meal! The Aura Pro is a multi-functional cooker which possesses 11 smart programs. It combines the functions of a Slow Cooker, Sous Vide Cooker, Stewing Pot, Rice Cooker, Sauté Pan, Steamer, Roasting Pan, Oven-Style Baking Dish, Yogurt Maker, and Warmer. You can do ALL in ONE SINGLE cooker.
I found it really useful and versatile so I highly recommend you to have one if you do cook in these diversified cooking methods. The Aura Pro cooker could replace the appliances with these functions which saves you much money and the spaces of your cabinet. With this cooker, you can easily prepare your favourite dishes by pressing just a few buttons.
But pay attention to the word Instant Pot. It is the brand name of this cooker but doesnt mean it has the pressure cooking function. Its NOT a pressure cooker. Many people mixed up and complained that its far from their expectations.

Which One Is Faster
It depends on the type of ingredients you want to cook but since the air fryer features only one cycle, its faster than the instant pot.
The instant pot needs to build up pressure before the cooking can begin. Additionally, an air fryer can be utilized as an instant pot and not the other way around.
The instant pot represents a multicooker. Meaning, its more versatile. The air fryer is less versatile since it can only make fried food.
Are There Any Disadvantages To An Instant Pot
Instant Pots are affordable and easy to use and clean, so there aren’t too many downsides to buying one. If you have a small kitchen or limited cupboard space, it’s worth noting that Instant Pots do take up a bit of space so consider how much you think you’ll use it before settling on one. There are compact 3-quart Instant Pots but, as you might imagine, they don’t have as much cooking capacity.

These users said it worked well for sous vide even for more than 24 hour. There was no need to cover the pot with foil but still kept the water inside during the entire 24-hour period which prevented poor results. Other buyers praised the Instant Pot Aura Pro as easy to clean due to the non-stick coated stainless steel design.
However, some users gave fewer stars for this cooker. They claimed that the temperature was not shown correctly. One of them said the bottom heated up unevenly, the center is a lot hotter than other parts of the pot.

Test : Searing And Pressure Cooking
The test: To test how well the Instant Pots could sear and pressure cook, we made five batches of this recipe for chunky beef chili. We documented the sear on the beef from each model and timed how long each machine took to pressurize. We tasted each sample to evaluate the tenderness of the meat and overall flavor of each chili. One Instant Pot model, the Duo Pro, has a special inner pot that can be used on the stovetop, so we used this pot directly on the burner over medium-high heat to sear the beef. With the other four models, we used their sauté modes.
Heres what happened: The big reveal isno big reveal. Each chili tasted pretty much identical, which may be more of a testament to the quality of the testing of that recipe than the machines we used to make it. None of the five chili samples had bitter notes or off flavors. All of the meat was tender the meat cooked in the Ultra was almost too tender, losing its cube form and shredding a bit too much. There was, however, a clear winner for pressurizing timethe Duo Pro was remarkably fast, taking just over 5 minutes. The Duo Plus was the next quickest, taking about 6 minutes, and since it has a slightly larger inner pot, there was more surface area available for searing. The Duo 7-in-1, Ultra, and Max each took about 8 minutes.
What Instant Pot Accessories Do I Need
Since each Instant Pot model is a little different, its important to read the manual and learn about the various features and settings your model offers. Generally, every Instant Pot will include an outer body with a display panel and buttons, a lid, a pressure valve, a steam release valve, a plastic collector cup to catch any condensation released during slow-cooking, a stainless-steel or nonstick inner pot, a sealing ring that surrounds the lid and helps absorb odors, and a steam rack or basket to elevate food inside the inner pot.
Any Instant Pot accessories or gadgets you may choose to buy to bulk up your cookers functionality are just a bonus. Depending on what you plan to make with your Instant Pot, extras range from practical and essential to plain old fun. Some people buy extra sealing rings so they can use one for meat and one for baked goods. Some invest in egg trivets if they cook a lot of hard-boiled eggs. Some look into springform pans to make cheesecake and quiche. There are also super useful silicone mitts with a surprisingly strong strong grip.

The Best Instant Pot: Instant Pot Pro
What we liked: This model pressurized the quickest and offered the best searing and sautéing experience, with a stable, non-spinning pot. The ability to use the stainless steel inner pot on an electric, induction, or ceramic stovetops was welcome, as it gives the user greater flexibility and control. Releasing the steam feels straightforward and safe because of its separate push-button release and the plastic cover around the steam valve. The control panel is easy to navigate with a mixture of buttons and a dial. We also liked the handles on its cooking pot, which made it easier to lift the pot up and out of the Instant Pot’s base.
What we didn’t like: Its pretty expensive, and while the sous vide function works, although it isn’t nearly as reliable as an immersion circulator.

Now let’s get into the obvious difference between this model and the regular Duo Plus: the steam release. Instant Pots come in three basic sizes: 3, 6 and 8 quarts. Most people with a household of three to five people will do fine with a 6-quart — the most popular size.
